About
Hi there, thanks for checking out the Chess Club Steakhouse!
We are Steve and Emily Becker, we opened the Chess Club Steakhouse in October of 2024 after fifteen years of owning the Chess Club Cafe, serving breakfast and lunch and being blessed by the community.
Steve is a classically trained chef with over 40 years of experience, but upscale dining is his forte. Though he has experience in every facet of the restaurant business including personal chef, pastry chef, and sous chef; working for himself is where he truly shines.
Emily grew up in the restaurant business, her first job working for her dad at age 11. Working the front-of-house is her preference, but there isn’t one position in the back or front-of-house that she doesn’t have experience with. She has also earned her Intro to sommelier pin from CMS and WSET II certificate.
We met at another steakhouse almost 20 years ago and the rest is history. We look forward to using all our combined experience and know-how to give you a dining experience to remember.
We proudly served Certified Angus Steaks, wild caught seafood and make everything in house. Our wine list is always evolving and ever expanding.
We have taken great care choosing our fantastic front and back-of-house staff. Most have been with us for the better part of two decades. We admit without Clifton, Mackz, Maria, Donna, and Zoe the Chess Club name wouldn’t be what it is today.


Mission
Our mission is to provide you with an environment that is welcoming and inviting, followed by a meal that is expertly crafted with fresh ingredients including prime meats and a well-thought-out wine list served by a staff that is friendly and professional.
